Since 2011, Year 10 students from both the Melbourne and Sydney Campuses travel to Saudia Arabia to perform the Umrah. Included in the trip is to spend a week in the Emirates visiting the Abu Dhabi Campus. It is an experience that leave an indelible mark in all the students who go and, is often, a life changing experience.

Approximately 60 students and 6 staff members have this blessed opportunity each year.

Umrah 2013

Currently the students are now in Madina after spending a week in Abu Dhabi at the Emirati Campus.

They will spend a few days in Madina before moving onto to Macca to perform the umrah. So far they have visited the Prophet's Mosque and the Prophet's (s.A.w) grave which is situated connected to the mosque. The tomb area includes Abu Bakr (r.a) and Omar ibn Khattab (a.s) as well.

They are also visited historical sites including Uhad and a special visit to the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex.

Abu Dhabi Update

The students spend a week in Abu Dhabi at the Emirati Campus.

They have a full program in Abu Dhabi including educational, social, and sports activities with Abu Dhabi students. Also, they will provide English support for KG and Primary classes. As well, they will have free swimming and gymnistic activities at the school's Sport Centre. The programme includes free shoping evenings and a safari adventure. All the cost of that week including accommodation, meals and trips is covered by the Australian School of Abu Dhabi (which is not included in the fees they paid.)
